The design of the carpets is the result of an initiative to empower the women carpet weavers of Afghanistan. It was inspired by the poetry of Jalal al-Din Rumi, which says, ‘apparently two, but one in soul’. It is the perfect expression of the coming together of a traditional carpet and a contemporary design.
