JOY MARDINI

Our living habits have changed, as have our eating habits. Our contemporary world calls for a more efficient and personalized dining experience! The Nada Debs "Dining Kit" is designed to adapt to a plethora of eating preferences and conditions. By breaking down the traditional cutlery box into single-user storage units, it becomes as large as one requires. Through the re-arranging of the basic elements of a cutlery box—a rigid wooden structure and a delicate protective material (articulated in leather)—the kit transcends the function of simply storing cutlery and unrolls into an active element in the process of eating as a place matt and table setting. The two materials work together and roll into a variety of geometric forms depending on the size and quantity of cutlery they contain. Moreover, the exposed leather of the units adds a personalized twist, catering to distinct tastes through variations in textures, cuts, and colors.
